Discrimination in the sale, financing, or rental of housing based upon race, color, religion, national origin, gender, familial status (families with children under the age of 18), or disability is illegal. North Dakota law also protects against discrimination based on age (40 and over) or status with respect to marriage and public assistance.
PLEASE BRING YOUR STORY of housing discrimination to this meeting! We want to hear your testimony of the types of discrimination you’ve encountered and how we can address discrimination in the Bismarck-Mandan community.
SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER is Ms. Kelly Gorz of the High Plains Fair Housing Council. She will be providing information about what discrimination entails and how YOU CAN HELP address the issue in this community.
